CONFINED SKY
In the time since the implementation of the confinement, the rooftop, the only space with free access, has not been utilised. During this time, we rethought the possibility of developing new spaces.
The project was based on the context of the epidemic, and we used the rooftop to rethink the spatial planning of social distances and how to allow people to walk freely in the public space in case of an emergency.
CONCEPT
Social, private, two things that we as people often need in opposite ways, depending on when and where. Can we build a space where there is the possibility of socialising while retaining a certain amount of privacy?
We have tried to recreate the rooftop of our flat on the spot. After dividing the personal and social spaces equally, a semi-open module was born.
ORGANISATION
Each module is placed in a staggered manner using horizontal books, so that adjacent modules can have a portion of space blocked from view, providing a degree of privacy. The other part of the space is open to the view and offers the possibility to communicate with the surrounding people, with the purpose to create a mini community.
